A. The shade is a band of darker blue, green, or gray across the top of your windshield.

A. The mirror needs to be ordered because it is a special type of mirror that lets light pass through so that the sun doesn’t reflect back into the line of vision. Also, the passenger mirror is curved to offer a wider field of vision.

A. It is our policy to require a deposit on any glass that is being specially ordered for you.

A. There is no standard size or thickness for windows or patio doors, the insulated units are specially made to fit your window or door frame.

A. Yes, the insulated units come with a warranty unless otherwise noted. The warranty for insulated units is 10 years, and for insulated units with muntin bars or a grid inside the glass is 5 years. The warranty covers seal failure as indicated by moisture buildup between the glass panes. The warranty only covers the cost of a new insulated unit, but does not cover any installation charge. The warranty does not cover glass breakage.

A. The average lead time is 7-10 business days, keep in mind if the unit breaks during production it may take a little longer to get your unit.

A. The “low-e” is not guaranteed to match because there are many different coatings available and not all suppliers or manufacturers carry the same coatings. The coating that is on the existing windows may have also been discontinued or replaced with something similar but not an exact match. We will do our very best to match the new “low-e” coating with the existing coating.

A. For the most part yes, however we sometimes run into window frames that are glued together around the glass and in that case these units would not be replaceable.

A. Our labor rate is $50.00 per man per hour. The time starts when our technician leaves the shop and stops when the technician returns to the shop.

A. Yes, since there are so many different windshield options we are unable to stock all of them. We will have to order the new windshield for your vehicle.

A. Yes, once a month at our Newark location only.

A. Yes we do offer mobile service and there is no charge, however in the case of rain our technicians need a garage to work in and in the case of temperatures below 40 degrees our technicians need a heated garage to work in. We have these requirements to ensure the best performance from our urethane.

A. Yes, the warranty for a windshield repair is against the chip cracking out from the spot where we repaired it. If that happens we will credit the customer or insurance (whoever paid) for the price of the repair towards a windshield replacement. Replacements come with a 2 year warranty against leakage. Rust on the pinchweld prohibits our ability to offer a warranty, if there is rust on the pinchweld of your vehicle you will be informed at the time of installation

A. No, the whole unit needs to be replaced.

A. Tempered glass is annealed glass that has been heated to a high temperature then quickly cooled making it four times stronger than annealed glass, tempered is considered a safety glass because when tempered is broken it breaks into lots of smaller pieces instead of big shards reducing the chance of a serious cut. Tempered glass cannot be cut or altered once it has been made.

A. Single strength glass is 3/32″ thick and is most commonly used in picture frames. Double strength is 1/8″ thick and stronger than single strength so can be used in many more applications.

A. A radius corner means we would round the corner of the glass or mirror instead of having a square corner. This is typically done if there is a chance someone could bump into the square corner and get injured.

A. Yes, we do rescreen and also build new screens. We offer aluminum screen and fiberglass screen.
